PENERAPAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING DALAM PEMBELAJARAN AKTIF MAHASISWA BIOTEKNOLOGI MELALUI PELATIHAN PEMBUATAN PUPUK ORGANIK CAIR

Abstract

Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach in learning activities has an advantages in improving student learning activity and innovation. Students can also implement their knowledge and learning experiences in daily life. This is important in learning approaches in biotechnology to increase their knowledge and experience through learning activities in the field. In this activity, PBL provided through the training of liquid organic fertilizer. The purpose of learning activities with PBL methods is to enhance the activity of the students in learning and students ability to apply it in daily life by training them the production of liquid organic fertilizer. These activities are divided into three major stages, there are preparation stage (making of modules and video tutorials), the stage of practice in the field and dissemination in high school. The results obtained after the learning activities with PBL method is students can learn actively through direct training in the field and they were able to discuss with organic farmers in the field, and students became understand the process of making liquid organic fertilizer and its benefits in organic farming systems and students.
